A lithograph I found on the Internet that shows an ancestral Cornillot as a pioneer in manned flight.
Title: Cornillot's ascent from Seal in Kent, 23 August 1825.
Caption: Lithograph by Paul Gauci after a drawing from nature, showing preparations being made for Professor Cornillot's ascent in a hydrogen balloon from Seal on 23 August 1825. On this flight, Cornillot and his companion, Thomas R Jolliffe established the principle of flying in a horizontal direction from any point of elevation. Cornillot is shown in the foreground of the image instructing Jolliffe that the balloon is ready for flight. Published by M Colnaghi & Co of Cockspur Street, London in May 1826.
